When Weobley was enobled with the title of Village of the Year in 1999, it was self-reliant and had a full range of businesses. There has been a slight decline since then and these three shop premises are currently unoccupied. The long range to the left were built as shops in the 15th century and the last shop (the newsagents with the 2 plate glass windows) closed on 1st March this year. There is activity inside, so reopening is possible. Despite several business closures recently, Weobley is still a cracking place to live.
