The remains of buildings at Parkyn's Shop on the A3059, with a barn in the background. These look fairly recent buildings; Parkyn's Shop is chiefly celebrated as the home of Richard Parkyn, a champion wrestler who died in 1853. It also stood on the parish boundary between St Columb Major and St Columb Minor, and was the starting point of hurling matches between men of the two parishes.
