The Broadway follows the route of the ancient trackway Watling Street. Here the route crosses the junction of Erith Road (north) and Gravel Hill (south) and changes name from Watling Street on the east to The Broadway on the west. To the left, the Prince Albert pub and to the right, a building that looks as if it ought to be something.
