This is where the Oldham Way crosses Quickedge Road. The long distance footpath goes through the new kissing gate where it follows the Oldham/Tameside boundary. The bridleway fingers on the fingerpost relate to Quickedge Road, a rough road in parts between Lydgate and Top Mossley.
