The monument described here http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1944210 is seen in its entirety. The monument, erected in 1898, had by the turn of the Millennium deteriorated somewhat and so, following the grant of monies from the Lottery Heritage Fund in 2006 was comprehensively restored. This is not the only physical reminder of the late Charles Mayo to be found in Corsham http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1943338
