At the approach to the level crossing conveying the A48 across the tracks of the heritage Dean Forest Railway, a sign instructs you to get permission to cross by using the phone at the crossing if your vehicle is large or slow. Large means over 55 feet long or 9 feet 6 inches wide (no metric equivalents are shown) or 38 tonnes total weight. Slow means 5 mph or less.
