Viewed from a path along the east bank of the river Usk, looking towards Crawford Street. Confusingly for researchers, before this Morgan Street existed, the name was used elsewhere in Newport. The 1881 Ordnance Survey map shows that what is now the eastern side of Park Square (on the other side of the Usk, adjacent to Hill Street), was at that time named Morgan Street.
