This toll-bridge dates back to the end of the 18th century http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/193393. The present owner bought it in 2002. Since 2004, there has been an auto-toll in place when the toll-booth, which can be seen on the right, is unmanned. See: http://www.igreens.org.uk/whitney_toll_bridge.htm
