St Edmund's church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933556 appears to have been rebuilt during the 15th century. The building has hammerbeam roofs with carved angels and above the rood screen the original celure can still be seen. The roofs were repainted in the 19th century, closely copying the original colours and decorations as was the wineglass pulpit > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933592 which dates from the 15th century. The chancel screen > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933600 combined with the parclose screens of both north and south aisles stretches across the whole width of the church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933632. The chancel screen dado is painted with apostles on a background of gilded gesso ornaments > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933611. The north aisle screen panels depict angels > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933619 and prophets > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933614 are painted on the panels of the south aisle screen. The panels of the seven Sacraments font > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933651 have been removed, the font cover is part of the Victorian restoration. The carved elbow rests > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1933639 and misericord seats in the chancel are original and date from the 15th century.
