This is near the centre of Lewisham. I am standing outside a shop which specialises in cosmetic and hair products for Afro-Caribbean people and which also has worldwide money transfer services. Across the road is an internet cafe and a Sri-Lankan restaurant. And on the far left, in the window of the off licence, are numerous posters advertising special rates for overseas phone calls. Just after taking this picture, I ate at a Turkish restaurant on nearby Lewis Grove. Lewisham is indeed a very diverse area.
