The well water 'bubbles up' into a star shaped pool with an access way at one end for those pilgrims entering the waters I assume. An audio-tour presents the history of the buildings and the site. The holy well is one of The Seven Wonders of Wales. It has been a place of pilgrimage, bathing and healing since at least the 12th century.
