A large sweep of the field can be seen in the foreground. The viewpoint is from the track northwest of the A614 at Gibbet Hill. It continues past the clump of trees in the next square west on the far right of the picture. Behind the trees rises a huge plume of smoke from an industrial fire at Plumtree Farm. Houses at the edge of Bircotes can be seen to the left.
