Built in 1901-2, the Magistrates Court and Police Station complex faces on to Bank Street http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/426447 . English Heritage describes the building style as "Severe Vernacular Revival" with some Classical detailing http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/Details/Default.aspx?id=481697&mode=adv . See also Image .
