M62 motorway - westbound slip lane, junction 12

This is the lane dedicated for M62-M6 (southbound) traffic. It will very shortly swerve leftwards, to provide space for a further slip lane for traffic intending to head northwards on the M6. The two slipping lanes then reunite for a few hundred yards before M6 traffic goes its separate ways.
