Viewed from the edge of Barry Docks railway station. The offices were built in late nineteenth century to regulate the substantial coal exporting trade which had grown to world prominence in Barry, and led to a rapid increase in the population of Barry. The building is now used as offices by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
