Richard Bradford Thompson, one of the Feoffees (local charity commissioners) built this elegant house at 793 Warwick Road in 1799, and ran a boys' school in it. William Robertson, a Birmingham dentist, bought the property in 1858 and two of his daughters continued to live there until 1914. In 1921 Solihull United Charities purchased the house and incorporated it into Solihull School, where it served as a music school, bursary and bookshop among other things (information from Charles Lines and John Burman).
