A pleasant spot for birdwatching & fishing, Loscoe Dam can be traced back to the 1300s and was owned by the Zouches of nearby Codnor Castle. The village of Loscoe can be seen in the background. See http://www.chatarea.com/HeanorDistrictLocalHistory.m246233-1 for more information.
