View westward, across to the site of the former station, which was behind the tall building in the middle; ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire/London & North Western (Lancashire Union) Joint line, Wigan - Chorley (left) - Blackburn (right). Passengers services ceased and Brinscall station was closed to passengers on 4/1/60, but the line remained open until 30/1/66, with goods ceasing here on 25/1/65.
