View northward on approach road: terminus of ex-Somerset & Dorset Joint branch from Edington Junction, which lost its passenger service 1/12/52. The Goods station here closed 4/10/54, but a new connection with the ex-GW Docks branch allowed goods to continue from Edington Junction to the Bridgwater Docks until 2/1/67.
