Sadly, the kirk is no longer in use since its closure in the early 1980s. It was built in 1870 to replace a 15th. century church which itself had been renewed in the wake of the Reformation. The churchyard contains many memorable gravestones, the Charteris Aisle, the Lowson Mausoleum and a watch house. There is much concern locally since there is talk of converting the old kirk in to a private dwelling, this when the cemetery is still in use. The congregation now attend the church at St. Maddoes. The War Memorial is situated outside the confines of the kirkyard.
