St Mark's church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1894571 - situated on the west bank of the River Great Ouse - was built by the Reverend WJ Parkes in 1846/47 in the Gothic Revival style as a chapel of ease to All Saints' church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1856973 in nearby Hilgay. The Grade 2 listed building as we see it today has been very little altered since its construction and is considered by many to be an excellent example of an original early Tractarian church > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1894581 - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1894587. It was closed due to subsidence in 2002 but thanks to the concerted efforts of the local community any further damage could be averted.
