Statue by Wilford Bridge

The bridge was closed to motorised traffic in 1974 and has been rebuilt for pedestrian and cycle traffic only. The statue of the last male member of the Clifton family stands by the bridge. Sir Robert Juckes Clifton, Bart. MP died at the age of 99 on May 30, 1869.
