The Javelin service of six-car domestic high-speed trains from Kent towns to London St Pancras over the High Speed 1 line was introduced in 2009. Here, unit 395026 rounds the curve off Rochester Bridge at the decidedly low speed of 20mph. Calling points beyond Strood would be Gravesend, Ebbsfleet, Stratford and St Pancras. The tracks running straight ahead go to Maidstone and Tonbridge, and pass under the bridge carrying tracks from London to Rochester via Bromley.
