These unusual 2.5 storey cottages were unlikely to have been designed with the buttresses on three walls. Why this location and the three storey front aspect were chosen, in an area of unexceptional slopes, is a mystery - possibly a folly beloved by estate owners. Belonging to the Angmering Park Estate, the doors are painted in the "corporate colour" of the estate.
