The Estate seems to have had a chequered history, once a highly regarded farming estate and then slipping back into lean times probably reflecting the woes of the agricultural climate at the turn of the twentieth century. Visitors to the area today will note renovation work at the main house and the estate wall being rebuilt so thing are looking up.
