The Red Lion is at the Four Lane Ends crossroads in Over Hulton. This very old building was rebuilt in 1905 and was a Mail House prior to becoming a pub. Adjoining cottages have been added to make this the substantial venue it is today. The "Sports zone" can accommodate 50 seated or 100 standing to watch the major matches on the big screen and the pub is currently displaying banners calling it "The Three Lions" - possibly a temporary name change for the World Cup? http://www.pub-explorer.com/lancs/pub/redlionoverhulton.htm for pub web site
