View southward, towards London; ex-GCR London Marylebone - Leicester - Sheffield Main line, which was closed completely Aylesbury - Annesley (north of Nottingham) on 5/9/66, except that until 5/5/69 a local service was continued Rugby - Arkwright St. (Nottingham). The train is a Down stopping train, headed by a Class B1 4-6-0; the line of coaches on the left are probably in storage.
