At Tonley are the remains of Tonley House, also known as Kincraigie. Described as 'a pocket baronial mansion of 2 storeys in squared grey granite' it dates from the C18 and C19. It is but one of a number of country houses that succumbed to neglect and government indifference during the 1950s.
