A grand building in the centre of Bedford. A plaque on the front of the building states; Built in 1879-81 in French Gothic style. Designed by Alfred Waterhouse, architect of the Natural History Museum in London. Replaced the Sessions House (original Law Courts), which stood here from 1753.
