View westward, towards Cymmer, Aberavon and Swansea; ex-Rhondda & Swansea Bay Railway Swansea - Treherbert line, closed with this station from Treherbert (via Rhondda Tunnel) down to Cymmer 26/2/68 (goods 14/12/70). The train at the platform (headed by a 41XX 2-6-2T) is going to Bridgend via Cymmer, substituting for the service that had terminated at Abergwnfi until 13/6/60; the line to Abergwynfi is seen on the left and was closed to goods in 5/63.
