Occupying an island site in Aylesbury End, this was once the town lock-up, then the Hall Barn estate office, and now the offices of the estate agent Nigel Briggs & Co http://www.nigelbriggs.co.uk/ It is a Grade II Listed Building and the English Heritage website describes it thus: "Formerly the Lock-up, some remains of which still preserved. C18 much altered. Two storeys. Red brick; old tile roof with moulded wooden eaves cornice. Three bays wide, the outer 2 recessed slightly and the centre one emphasized by rusticated quoins. First floor with 3 sashes, the ground floor with 2 shorter ones and a central modern door beneath a timber hood on brackets."
