This burn is the western tributary of the Queenzie Burn. The infestation of weeds to the left in the photo is interesting. The present lie of the land here would suggest that the burn had been diverted as a result of quarrying. There is a cutting to the left halfway along in this photo which would allow an overflow down a huge drop into the old quarry but it could be that the quarrying undercut the burn and an earth banking built along its course to contain it. Further research to be done.
