In the middle of a field adjacent to the M25 junction 8 stands a dead tree, which has been painted bright red. Painted in 2004 by some "bored atrists" who asked the farmer if they could paint the tree. The tree is in direct line of sight of the anticlockwise offramp and vegetation has been cut back so that it is clearly visible from the road.
