Always a delight to encounter a form of accommodation which is typical of an age. Purchased by the present farmer's father about 50 years ago, this well-preserved example is now used as an isolation unit for lambing ewes who need a bit of peace and quiet. The exact origin is not easy to determine, but it is an older style of 12ton van with ventilation hoppers on the planked ends, of a style that pre-dated vehicles built post-nationalisation Image Apparently, the doors failed completely during the last winter.
