Probably dedicated to George I as there is no regnum number, looks old enough. Unfortunately now closed, note the eyes looking out accusingly. A reference on the www says: "Try the King George, top of New Road - excellent food, cooked for you from fresh ingredients. Extremely good and excellent value." Not now it isn't. The A4 passes the door.
