Image: © Mike Harris Taken: 10 Jun 2006

Taken from the footpath in the woods on the north side of the canal, showing the towpath on the other side and the view east through Soot Hill bridge that carries the road from Northwich to Barnton and Anderton. The Boat Lift (already well photographed for this square) is a short distance further east (i.e. in the direction of the view) and Winnington Works (also already shown for this square) lie off to the right. This more rural image shows the contrast in a single square - I've seen kingfishers on this stretch.
