The Penmorfa, formerly known as The Gogarth Abbey was built in 1862 as the summer mansion of the Reverend Henry George Liddell, father of Alice Liddell (Alice in Wonderland). Here it is in the process of being demolished to make way for flats - it had a brief stay of execution but this was overcome in 2008.
