Introduction

The photograph on this page of Chalfont St Peter: Footbridge over the River Misbourne by Nigel Cox as part of the Geograph project.

The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Curiously the current Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 scale mapping has the footpath approaching the footbridge from the west then terminating at it. In practice it continues eastwards up to Gravel Hill, as shown by the sign.
