Built in the early 1100’s by Earl Ranulf of Chester, St Mary Magdalene, Wyken, is Coventry’s oldest church. The tower was added in the fifteenth century to house the single bell, but otherwise the building has remained largely unaltered for 900 years. From http://www.coventrysoldestchurch.org/
