Designed by Jane Bayliss and dedicated in May 1999 to commemorate Joan and Archie Steele. Both were elders in the church, graduates of Aberdeen university and teachers. The beautiful design showing Adam and Eve expresses humankind's irrepressible search for knowledge. The quotation at the bottom of the window: "the height o' what's wyss is the dred o' the Lord" is from Psalm 111 (rendered in Scots) and used in the Aberdeen University motto: (Initium sapientiae timor domini) http://www.ferryhillparishchurch.org.uk/window2.htm#eden
