Silsden had an Urban District Council from 1893 to 1974, when it became part of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. It is still a civil parish, so local government is not quite dead here. This town hall was probably built soon after 1893, or possibly in the early 20C judging by the style. It is next to the churchyard.
