Situated next to Wrenbury Station, this used to be the Salamanca Hotel, an inn named after the Battle of Salamanca, scene of one of the two victories of Field Marshal Sir Stapleton Cotton, 1st Baron Combermere, of nearby Combermere Abbey. The "Bhurtpore" in the next village (Aston) is still a pub. One of the two surviving pubs in Wrenbury itself is the "Cotton Arms". The address now appears to be that of a piano dealer.
