A footpath from Thornden Wood leads through Clowes Wood, and then through Chestfield Golf Course, then it should lead across the A299 towards Radfall Road. It has been diverted since the A299 became a dual carriageway in the 1990's. The path leads left along the dual carriageway and then follows Radfall Road.
