Former Blast Engine House, Dowlais

Constructed between 1905 and 1907, the engine house fed a bank of furnaces with air. Now in use as Pant & Dowlais Boys and Girls Club, a charitable organisation whose aim is to develop and educate the young people of Merthyr Tydfil by fulfilling their physical, mental and spiritual needs in as many ways as possible. The building is also home to numerous football and netball teams and is used by many organisations for a wide range of activities during the daytime.
