Tittenhurst Park, originally a Georgian Manor House but now heavily re-modelled, was John Lennon's home from late summer 1969 to August 1971, "Plastic Ono Band" album partly recorded here. In 1988 it was bought for £5 million by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi. They seem to take security seriously here - note the heavy line of metal bollards beyond the gates to frustrate unwanted visitors. Picture taken from opposite side of public road, A329.
