View northward, towards buffer-stops; terminus of Preston & Wyre (LNW & L&Y Joint) main lines from Preston via Kirkham & Wesham (direct via Marton or via Lytham). This major station was closed 2/11/64 and the line cut back to Blackpool South, later the direct line to Blackpool South from Kirkham being closed on 13/2/67. Blackpool North was made the main terminus. (The Stanier 3P 2-6-2T is on Station Pilot work).
