This substantial hall was damaged by fire in the 1960s or 70s, since when the roof and interior have been removed - see Google satellite view http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=54.998143,-2.884254&spn=0.001649,0.005429&t=h&z=18 . It is nevertheless a grade II listed building http://www.imagesfengland.org.uk/details/default.aspx?id=77877 . In 2009 new owners applied for planning permission to restore and convert the hall to upmarket dwellings http://www.cumberland-news.co.uk/news/5_million_renovation_plan_for_historic_hall_near_carlisle_1_525854 .
