The Peppercorn class A1 Pacific locomotive No.60163 Tornado, seen here pulling an excursion from Crewe to Carlisle via the Cumbrian Coast Line. This is a 21st century steam engine, built by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust http://www.a1steam.com , completed in 2008. A fair crowd of people had gathered at this viewpoint behind Marina Crescent, Currock. The chimney of Cummersdale Print Works is across the fields to the left.
