Leahurst, Liverpool University's Veterinary Field Station on Chester High Road, Neston, specialising in the treatment of farm animals and horses. The large animal hospital has been the centrepiece of Leahurst since 1941, and following its refurbishment in 1991, is one of the largest equine referral hospitals in the UK, seeing over 1600 cases per year from all over the British Isles. A 24 hour service is provided 365 days a year. The small animal hospital has recently moved from Liverpool to this site.
