The chapel was built in 1861 for the Primitive Methodists, who had split off from the original Wesleyan Methodists. In the 1930's they were reunited with others into the Methodist Church. This chapel ceased to be used for religious purposes years ago, and when photogtraphed in April 2010, it appeared to be undergoing some major work. Image Image
